Post-Menopausal Syndrome
Post-menopausal syndrome includes a group of symptoms which occurs during and after the menopause. It is more common in those where uterus is surgically removed for any reason.
CAUSATIVE FACTOR:
Exact cause is not known. But hormonal imbalance has influence on it.
MAIN CLINICAL FEATURES
• Occurance of hot flush (for a fraction to half an hour the patient feels that heat is moving all over the body followed by sweating)
• Anxiety
• Sleeplessness
• Mood change
• Forgetfulness
• Joint pain, back pain
• Dryness in vagina
• Painful sexual act
Is Ayurveda treatment recommended in this condition?
Yes. Ayurveda treatment is very much beneficial in this condition.
How it is treated in Ayurveda?
Combination of Panchakarma and Ayurveda herbal formulations, followed by continuous use of Ayurveda herbal formulation for long time brings complete relief in majority of the patients. In many we witnessed results with only herbal formulations as outpatients.

In modern system of medicine the treatment suggested is hormone therapy, relief found may be temporary in majority of the patients, and if continued for long time, it has adverse effect on the body. It is also noticed that those who took hormone treatment for more than one year without any improvement, after starting Ayurvedic treatment got result within a short period. In some, after a long gap symptoms may recur, just repeating another course of treatment brings result in majority of such patients.
