Pempigus Vulgaris

Why Panckarma is recommended for Pempigus vulgaris?
Pempigus vulgaris is an autoimmune disease. Panchakarma proved to be most beneficial in any autoimmune disease. Intake of specific herbal formulations for long time after performing Panchakarma treatments gives tremendous result. In this disease we mainly follow Vamana (Emesis) or Virechana (Purging) treatment. These treatments help in eliminating the toxins, and factor responsible for the disease out of the body. But considering the severity of pempigus vulgaris we advise to continue the DMARD drugs which might be required for life time, but any how we can reduce the dosage of DMARD which ultimately helps the patient to save from the side effects of higher doses of DMARD drugs.

Are there any chances of recurrence of RA after this treatment?
Following proper panchakarma and post panchakarma treatment eliminates this condition without any recurrence, post panchakarma treatment for long time we can prevent the recurrence for many years. However chances of recurrence are there depending upon the body type, type of illness, environmental exposures, food habits etc, but by once again following the panchakarma and post panchakarma treatments regulating the disease is possible.

Who can take the above treatment?
All patients suffering from Pempigus vulgaris can take this treatment.

Whether this treatment can be taken along with moder DMARD drugs, who are already under methotrexate or Salazaline, or HCQS, or TNF alfa inhibitors etc.?
Yes this can be taken along with DMRD drugs. We have treated hundreds of patients who are already under DMARD drugs and surprisingly we could stop the DMARD drugs in many and could taper the dose in other patients with much better results in many auto immune diseases. But in Pempigus vulgaris completely stopping DMARD may not be possible many of the times but any how we can reduce the dosage of DMRD and prevent the adverse effects of DMARD drugs.

What is the complete course of treatment for Panckakarma treatment as inpatient and post panchakarma treatment as outpatient?
