Why Panchakarma treatment for Migraine headache?
Patients with migraine headache are benefited by Shirodhara, pouring of herbal medicated oil over forehead for 7 days and Virechana, purging treatment followed by Nasya (nasal medication) treatment. Most of the patients with chronic migraine headache are benefited by the above treatment. According to Ayurveda migraine headache is caused mainly by Pitta and Vata vitiation. Measures that normalize the doshik vitiation are mainly conducted. Along with the above treatment we also follow Pinda sweda with whole body massage using herbal medicated oil.
